Ps2 cheats on the PS3 game. Can it be done?

We have a PS3 now. We play all of our PS2 games on it, and they work great. We can't seem to get the PS2 cheats to work on the PS3. Has anyone out there been able to figure out how to get the cheats to work?

1. Well, it depends on what game it is I guess, but I know the cheats for Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis work. If you mean Gameshark or things like that, I don't think you will be able to get them to work, but if you are just talking about in-game cheats (like ones where you just have to press a button combo or something), those should work. So, Gameshark, probably not going to work, but in-game cheats should have no problem working. What games are you talking about?
